Installation & Setup

This guide will walk you through installing Frontier Quote and getting it set up on your Shopify store.

Prerequisites

• A Shopify store with Online Store 2.0 theme
• Admin access to your Shopify store
• Theme App Extensions enabled (standard for Online Store 2.0)

Step 1: Install from Shopify App Store

1. Visit the Shopify App Store
2. Search for "Frontier Quote"
3. Click "Add app" and follow the installation prompts
4. Grant the required permissions:
   • Write Draft Orders
   • Read Products
   • Read/Write Customers
   • Read Orders
   • Read Themes

Step 2: Add Theme App Extension

After installation, you need to activate the Theme App Extension:

1. Go to Online Store > Themes in your Shopify admin
2. Click Customize on your active theme
3. In the theme editor, look for App embeds in the left sidebar
4. Find "Frontier Quote" and toggle it on
5. Click Save

Note: The app's onboarding flow will check if the extension is activated and show a banner until it's enabled.

Step 3: Complete Onboarding

When you first open the Frontier Quote app, you'll see an onboarding flow:

1. Review the welcome screen
2. Configure basic settings (regions, popup fields)
3. The app will check if the Theme App Extension is active
4. Complete the setup wizard

Step 4: Verify Installation

To verify everything is working:

1. Visit your storefront
2. Add a product to cart
3. Go to the cart page
4. If you're in a blacklisted country (or using the test parameter), you should see "Get a Quote" instead of "Checkout"

Troubleshooting Installation

If the quote button doesn't appear:

• Verify the Theme App Extension is enabled in theme customizer
• Check that your theme supports Online Store 2.0
• Clear your browser cache
• Check the browser console for any JavaScript errors
